Have you ever noticed about bee species in the world? There are many bee species that is exist in the world. Experts state that there are about 20,000 bee species that live in the whole world. Bumblebees

The most familiar and famous bee species is bumblebee. Besides big and hairy, they also appear in black and yellow. In tropical area that is called as their right environment, the colonies are able to prosper for a long years.

This bee species live in deserted holes that in fact have been created and left by rodents and other small animals. And they are able to also prosper in temperate areas in North America.

Carpenter Bees

Any other bee species that are commonly known are carpenter bees. These bees have metal-like, black color and no yellow marks, which is the most distinguishing feature between these bee species and bumblebees.

Any other noticeable difference in them is that they can’t prepare wax. They are able to also travel a pretty long distance from flower to flower.

Honeybees

Honeybees can be said as the most famous bee species. They are quite small in size and generally black but also come with other colors as well, such as a brown yellow. These sociable bees have a queen bee who they work to protect and serve.

The worker bees should gather nectar from flowers and then keep the honey. After that, they must feed the hive, and make sure that the queen bee is safe and well secured.

Parasitic Bees

Parasitic bees can be one bee species that many people have not heard. As the name says, these bees don’t look for food or build nests by themselves, but applying other bees’ nests and food. The professionals  still can say nothing about this, but this bee species can absolutely be a threat for other bees as they are stealing the food and homes of other bees.

The eggs or larvae of the host female are usually killed by the parasitic female or her larvae. Females of parasitic bees do not have pollen brushes or pollen baskets actually.

Digger Bees

Digger bees are bee species that posses long tongues and fly very fast. This is one of the most noticable features between this bee species and other bees. They are also considered as a part of the digger bee family.
